24yo expected to make Man Utd move once window opens, set to become Reds' first summer signing: report

Behind the scenes, no doubt United are plotting for a huge transfer period – whenever that will take place…

Amongst the names constantly linked with an Old Trafford move is Jack Grealish. The Englishman has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently, we covered a story from the Daily Star earlier this week, in which it was claimed that United may well turn their attentions back to James Maddison after the incident…

Well, The Times go against the grain. Although you need a subscription to access the article, the guys over at The Metro have relayed that information. They state that United are ‘confident’ of beating Machester City in the race to acquire Grealish, with the Reds seemingly not put off by what took place a few days ago.

Apparently, the 24-year-old is still expected to make a United move once the transfer window opens, and he ‘will’ become the Reds’ first signing of the summer, per The Metro.

Look, people make mistakes, I get that. However, what Grealish was doing out in his car while he’s supposed to be self-isolating was just foolish. Yes, he’s young, but he’s supposed to be leading the way for the next generation.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made his stamp on this squad by weeding out the troublemakers, which does make me doubt this story. It all comes down to whether United believe this was a one-off incident or Grealish’s typical behaviour.

One thing you simply cannot doubt is Grealish’s talent…
