For Manchester United, the games are starting to come thick and fast. The Old Trafford club are still fighting it out in three different competitions, as they look to line the cabinet with silverware while also forcing their way back into the Champions League.
Credit to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who is doing a splendid job with these players. Confidence is flowing, particularly after a derby win at the weekend.
Anyway, next up is a trip to take on LASK Linz in Austria. Unfortunately, this one will be played behind closed doors due to *that* virus that’s currently dominating the media headlines right now…
Expect changes to be made by the Baby Faced Assassin, as he looks to utilise his squad to its fullest, while also having enough firepower to keep the Reds in the game for the return leg…
Predicted Man United XI vs Lask in full:
Sergio Romero will obviously come back into the team for this one. He has been in great form again this term (we don’t speak of that mistake against Club Brugge!).
Diogo Dalot has impressed on his performances so far this term, so he deserves the start here. Brandon Williams will play over on the left. Axel Tuanzebe hasn’t featured in 2020, though that’s about to change against LASK. He’ll partner Eric Bailly in a back-two that offers the perfect blend of calmness and aggression.
Scott McTominay is the talk of the town. He’ll get a 90 minutes under his belt here as he looks to build back up to full fitness. Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira will both play, with Fred and Bruno Fernandes on the bench if needs be.
Mason Greenwood didn’t start at the weekend and I’d be shocked if he doesn’t feature here. Juan Mata will get the nod on the right, while Daniel James continues to play on his preferred left-flank.
