Manchester United remain the only team to pick up points against Liverpool this term. This weekend, the 20-time Premier League champions head to Anfield – in the hope of going one better this time and picking up a victory.

Obviously that’s going to be easier said than done. Jurgen Klopp, although I cannot stand the man, he’s doing a supremely good job. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s record against the best-of-the-best has been pretty good. I have complete trust in our manager once again here.

Injuries haven’t made picking a starting line-up for this one easy, though we’ll give it our best shot…

Check out our predicted Man Utd XI vs Liverpool in full:

David de Gea starts in between the sticks as per usual. He’ll be expecting a busy afternoon though our superstar Spaniard always steps up to the plate when we need him the most.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka starts in the right-back slot and he’ll have a tough task on his hands stopping Sadio Mane, though I’m backing our man. On the opposite flank, we’re going to need to see more of that Brandon Williams fight against Mohamed Salah. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will play and they’ll have to be at their best.

As per usual, midfield remains the key problem area. Nemanja Matic will start at the base, Fred will play just ahead of him and Andreas Pereira will be the most forward of the trio. Sure, these options aren’t ideal but they’re all Ole has…

The bad news? Marcus Rashford won’t be risked. Anthony Martial will lead the line with Daniel James playing on the left-wing. I’ve gone for Mason Greenwood on the right, though don’t be surprised if Jesse Lingard plays. I’d love to see Juan Mata start but his lack of pace could well be exposed here…
