The Red Devils continue their Champions League campaign on Tuesday night, playing their first Old Trafford game in Europe this term. Ahead of the fixture, it’s time for our predicted Man Utd XI vs RB Leipzig.

After getting one over Paris Saint-Germain last week, Manchester United have a real opportunity to take early charge of their Champions League group.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer simply has to take this chance, while winning your home games is all-important towards determining any European success whatsoever. Fans or no fans, we have to make Old Trafford a fortress.

RB Leipzig will not go down easily, though. They won their opening match against Istanbul Basaksehir and come into this one in good form. Dayot Upamecano and company will be heading to Manchester with victory in mind. United will have to be at their very best.

The good news for our Baby Faced Assassin is that the squad is starting to take shape nicely. He can afford to make a few changes, while keeping the line-up looking strong.

Here at Old Trafford Faithful, we’re expecting a fair few faces to be drafted into the line-up here, as United likely have one eye on the Arsenal game this coming weekend…

David de Gea will keep his place in between the sticks. Our Spaniard has looked back to his best this season and let’s hope that’ll continue tomorrow night.

Alex Telles was unfortunate to be dropped at the weekend, though he’ll be amongst the first names on the team-sheet here. Aaron Wan-Bissaka will continue to play at right-back. Harry Maguire will start, though his partner will change. Axel Tuanzebe was a monster against PSG. He’ll be fit and feeling ready to go again here.

Nemanja Matic’s experience and game management could be vital against RB Leipzig. It’ll also give Scott McTominay a chance to rest. I’ve gone for Donny van de Beek and Paul Pogba to play at the heart of our midfield. Bruno Fernandes needs to get a break every now and then…

Anthony Martial will start amid his Premier League suspension, while Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood complete the front three.

Again, there is plenty of fire-power to call upon from the bench if needed. I’m looking at Edinson Cavani and the aforementioned Fernandes as the real difference-makers.
