Manchester United Football Club made a much-needed splash in the January transfer window, going big to bring Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have been in superb form ever since. I don’t think anyone expected the Portuguese to have made such a huge impact in such little time. Suddenly, United look like they’re capable of going toe-to-toe with anyone and everyone, while having Champions League football on offer for next season feels like a real possibility.

Earlier today, club legend Ryan Giggs was asked about how quickly Fernandes has settled in, as he heaped the praise on the super-impressive United star who has hit the ground running.

“He’s a fantastic player. He’s lifted the place, he’s lifted everyone around him” Giggs told Football Daily. “It’s still early days, I think he’ll get even better.”

‘He’s hit the ground running which is what you want, especially, you know signing in the January transfer window doesn’t always happen. But he’s a fantastic talent and I’m pleased to see him doing so well.”

This is certainly high praise indeed, as it comes from one of te best to ever do it…

I think since the summer, we’ve all been keeping an eye on Fernandes. Anyone who has watched him will know the natural ability and talent is there. Whether he was able to translate his style to the Premier League was the real question mark. We’ve been given an overwhelming answer to that…

Fernandes has been simply game-changing. It was his influence that powered United to victory against Chelsea, while he’s scored in United’s three games following that win at Stamford Bridge.

It’s the football brain, the passing intelligence, the tricks and flicks. He’s the complete package. We’re lucky to call him ours and I’m genuinely excited to see how strongly we finish out the season with Fernandes spearheading our attack.
