Manchester United Football Club made it three wins in a row this evening, with the Red Devils booking their place in the Europa League knockout rounds thanks to a convincing 4-0 victory at home to AZ Alkmaar.
These continental fixtures have certainly been a welcome relief for the squad as it gives ole Gunnar Solskjaer a chance to look at some youngsters in a competitive fixture. Once again, United’s academy graduates came to the fore and put in some quality displays.
After being benched for the last two games, Brandon Williams came back with a vengeance – putting in arguably his best performance at senior level so far.
The young man was supremely calm with the ball at his feet, always willing to bomb forward and join in on the attack, while always standing up to any challenge that was presented to him. It’s hard to believe that he’s still a teenager and has so much developing to do as a footballer.
As you’d imagine, Reds fans all over Twitter were heaping praise on the mega-talented 19-year-old for a quality display vs AZ. Hopefully, this is the latest in a long line of memorable performances from a young man who’s stock is certainly on the rise.
Well played, Brandon!
