But the France international may have endeared himself to Liverpool supporters by claiming he wants to see them win the Premier League.
Griezmann was linked with a move to Manchester United before finally sealing a £108m move to the Nou Camp from Atletico Madrid recently.
The joint-fourth most expensive football player of all-time said he wanted to stay in Spain due to the weather.
“I was having a lot of fun in La Liga,” he told Sky Sports News. “We have one thing the Premier League does not – the sun.”
Despite United’s interest, Griezmann revealed the Premier League club he admires most is Liverpool – “because of the fans”.
Jurgen Klopp’s side finished just a single point behind Manchester City last season, in an epic title race.
And the World Cup winner revealed he will be rooting for the Reds to go one better this time around.
“They deserve to win the Premier League, hopefully one day they will win it again,” Griezmann added.
The 28-year-old striker believes he will be playing along the “best player in the world” in Lionel Messi once the new season gets underway.
But there is a Premier League player he would still like to link up with – Alexandre Lacazette.
The Arsenal star was linked with a Nou Camp move when a profile page of his appeared on the Barca website earlier this summer.
The story proved to be a false alarm for Gunners fans as it was shown to be one of many profiles featuring all sorts of players.
Nonetheless, supporters of the north London club will not be overjoyed to see Griezmann saying he wants to play with Lacazette.
“I would love to play with [Alexandre] Lacazette,” he said.
“He’s a friend of mine, we played together in the national team.
“He’s an amazing player, has a lot of talent.”
