Back in January, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United played an absolute blinder when they signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
The Red Devils’ future looks much clearer with their Portuguese icon sat in the middle of the park. He brings a desire to win, sheer talent and an elite mentality to the table. Not many players can make such a drastic impact.
Having played with some of the world’s best, the 25-year-old was asked which player he’d like to run out with for the rest of his career. Well, Bruno Fernandes did asked that question – revealing a surprising name…
‘It is very difficult to choose, because I have a lot of people in the dressing room who are my friend,’ said the United midfielder in a fan Q&A, per The Metro.
‘Wherever I played… Francisco Ramos.’
Francisco ‘Chico’ Ramos currently plies his trade for Santa Clara, on loan from Portuguese outfit, Vitoria. The two are close buddies and it seems as though Fernandes has opted for the friendship route as opposed to the most talented player he has taken to the field alongside.
At the end of the day, we’re talking about someone who has played with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, here. I think the answer would be obvious, in that regard. Heck, he’s hardly going to pick Phil Jones, is he…?
Jokes aside, I simply cannot wait till we see this man back out on the football field tearing it up. This guy oozes class, and before play was stopped, he was almost single-handedly propelling the Red Devils up the table…
