Manchester United had a mixed Sunday. A Leicester City 3-0 loss offered us major hope in the race to finish in the top four, though being dumped out of the FA Cup by Chelsea hurts. After the game, our Portuguese Magnifico Bruno Fernandes tweets a message from the heart to our fans.
He’s been our undeniable inspiration since moving to Manchester from Sporting Lisbon in January. Yesterday was Bruno Fernandes’ first loss in Red Devils colours. Even in defeat, he managed to get himself on the score-sheet once more.
In terms of his overall productivity, he’ll be the first to tell you the performance wasn’t up to scratch. At the end of the day, though, even the best in the business have off-days. It’s how you bounce back that’ll define his career.
At the end of the day, I’m not going to blame anyone for the loss yesterday. You win as a team and lose as a team and unfortunately, everyone struggled; including Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Fernandes and co. have an excellent chance at righting those wrongs at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. Put West Ham to the sword and the 20-time Premier League champions have a great opportunity to be playing Champions League football next term.
Anyway, after the loss, Bruno Fernandes took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to the United fans after the cup loss. He sums it up perfectly.
Not only is Fernandes an incredible player, he has the mindset of a winner and it’s evident in a simple tweet. He’s right, we’re not the best at the moment, nor are we the worst after our first loss in nineteen.
I’ll be the first to admit that I was a tad reactionary immediately after the game, though I’m feeling far more positive this morning. We still have a great shot at winning silverware in the Europa League, too. For now, though, all focus is on the Premier League…
