Manchester United take on Manchester City in an epic Carabao Cup semi-final with the first leg taking place this evening.
The Red Devils have a real chance at lining the trophy cabinet here, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be feeling good, particularly after the performance his side put in against City just last month.
Anyway, the confirmed Man Utd XI vs Man City is now in, with the Baby Faced Assassin going with a semi-strong side for this one. Hopefully, this team has enough firepower to get the job done, though there is a game-changer or two on the bench if needed.
David de Gea starts in between the sticks and no doubt the superstar Spaniard will be tested throughout this one.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back, beating out competition from both Diogo Dalot and Ashley Young. Luke Shaw could still well be suffering with illness, hence why Brandon Williams gets the nod at left-back. Victor Lindelof starts though there’s no Harry Maguire. Phil Jones is included as the other centre-back.
Nemanja Matic needs a rest and that’s why he’s on the bench. Instead, Fred and Andreas Pereira make up the midfield duo. This could be the problem area for the Reds in this one as they’ll see hardly any possession whatsoever.
Daniel James plays and his speed will undoubtedly be vital. Jesse Lingard is also included, as is Marcus Rashford. Mason Greenwood completes the team.
