Going into the international break with a victory is vital, though Jose Mourinho certainly won’t make that easy. It’s time for the confirmed Man Utd XI vs Spurs.
Indeed, the team news is now in. With Manchester United winning one and losing one, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to head into the fortnight break on a positive note.
With any Mourinho team, you know what you’re going to get. They’ll sit deep, soak up the pressure, defend as a unit and look to hit us on the break. Hopefully, the Baby Faced Assassin has a plan to counteract that.
Anyway, the team news was posted by the official United Twitter account just moments ago, with United going super-strong here.
Check out the confirmed Man Utd XI vs Spurs in full here:
As you’d expect, David de Gea returns to the starting line-up, despite another excellent performance from Dean Henderson in midweek.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets the nod at right-back, while Luke Shaw continues over on the left-hand side. The two full-backs will have to be switched on for 90 minutes here and they should expect a tough game. Harry Maguire obviously plays, though he’ll have a different partner. Eric Bailly deservedly comes into the side.
Nemanja Matic will sit at the base of the midfield. No doubt the Serb will be tasked with mopping up and doing the dirty work. Paul Pogba somehow keeps his spot in the team after a dismal performance last time out. Of course, Bruno Fernandes is included from the off.
Anthony Martial is still without a goal this season, though he tends to show up in the big matches. Hopefully, he’ll grab a goal or two in this one. Marcus Rashford starts off the left, with Mason Greenwood playing on the right.
There is ample quality on the bench should United need it, though I’m hopeful this team named should have enough to get us the three points today.
Come on Reds!
