Old Trafford has been a hot-bed of young talent for as long as I’ve lived. Manchester United have always done their absolute best when it comes to nurturing and developing teenagers and turning them into world-class footballers.
It’s the foundation that United have been built upon, so why change that mantra? Hannibal Mejbri was signed over the summer from AS Monaco, with the midfielder already proving his worth. If the Reds get their way, though, he may soon get some competition from another young midfielder based in France.
Furthermore, the emerging midfielder confirms United have already held talks with Ligue 1 giants PSG about the possibility of a transfer – though he hasn’t been involved in those discussions directly as of yet.
“I haven’t really had real discussions with my parents regarding that. I saw there was interest, but I think it’s more talks between the two clubs. I haven’t taken part in that yet.” Dina-Ebimbe told Foot Mercato.
Dina-Ebimbe is currently on loan with Le Havre in Ligue 2 and at this stage of his career, the 19-year-old just wants to be playing football.
However, if the Frenchman is really that talented, are PSG going to let such a prized asset leave so easily? I’d be surprised, but United’s interest does fit in with the approach that Solskjaer is taking.
Don’t be shocked to see a move consistently talked up between now and the summer, but I’d imagine the chances of actually completing a deal are probably pretty slim…
