Manchester United beat Leeds United 4-0 this afternoon in Perth, with the Red Devils making it two wins from two on pre-season tour.
The game itself was a one-sided affair for the most part, with the Reds on top and dominating the play thanks to their new high-pressing game.
Our best performer on the day was Marcus Rashford. He led the line wonderfully well, looking a constant threat throughout while working hard on the defensive side of the ball, too.
Rashford scored the second goal which effectively killed the game, leaving a Leeds player flat out on his back before calmly slotting home past the hapless keeper. It was a sublime finish, with our striker looking in great knick albeit early on in pre-season.
As you’d imagine, the fans took to Twitter to react to the stunning display from the 21-year-old Rashford. We’ve compiled some of the best tweets below:
This has to be just the start. Rashford has scored between 10-15 goals over his last few seasons and now he needs to knuckle down and aim for that 20+ mark.
It’s easy to forget that he’s still only 21, but I’m fully tipping him to do it this season as he’ll get ample opportunity to start in that lone striker role.
