Real boss Zinedine Zidane has enjoyed a summer of splashing the cash so far.

Los Blancos have spent around a whopping £300m to bring in Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo.

But after such a dismal season last term, the Spanish giants want to bring in even more world-class talent to challenge for the La Liga and Champions League titles once again.

And the man they have their eye on is United’s World Cup winning playmaker Pogba.

Having topped the Red Devils’ goals and assists charts last season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate not to lose him, and is thought to have slapped a price tag of around £150m on his head.

Having already spent so much money, that makes a move for Pogba tricky for Real, with various factors including Financial Fair Play to bear in mind.

However, European football expert Mark Langdon has revealed how the Madrid side could find the funds to make a move a reality this summer.

Many feel their only option is to sell unsettled winger Gareth Bale, with United’s links with the Welshman stretching back years.

“I think Real will sell James and a few others to get Pogba”

Langdon doesn’t think it is essential to sell the 29-year-old though, with other wantaway stars potentially being put on the chopping block in his place.

“Gareth Bale is available, everybody knows that. I don’t see him going to China; I’d be amazed if he went there despite the money on offer,” Langdon told talkSPORT.

“Pogba has said he wants to leave but Real Madrid need to raise funds.

“James Rodriguez is definitely one they can sell with a fair bit of interest in him, and very strong interest from Napoli in particular. Atletico Madrid are also potential runners for James, so that is a more likely route for Real Madrid to make money than Bale to China.

“I think Real will sell James and a few others to get Pogba.

“I see Bale leaving, but I have absolutely no idea where he will go. He can’t surely sit out a whole season at Madrid – Zidane won’t play him and won’t put him in the squad.

“I just think it’s one of those that when we get right close to the end of the window something will be created because Bale can’t waste a year.”
