Jose Mourinho brutally puts down Swansea fans who were booing Marcus Rashford
Manchester United made it back-to-back 4-0 wins in the Premier League over the weekend, with Jose Mourinho’s men making Swansea City look rather silly. The Red Devils were in control throughout, and the result was made safe in the final ten minutes as the hosts had to come forward to try and score.
During the game, young Marcus Rashford was subject to absolute dogs abuse from the Welsh fans. Apparently, the teenager won a penalty against them back in April that they weren’t too pleased about… Blimey, they hold a grudge, don’t they?
Anyway, that didn’t stop the young man from Wythenshawe tearing them up for an hour – although he probably should have scored when put through one-on-one.
Now, Mourinho has responded to the Swansea City faithful in typical fashion. He’s absolutely ruined them with this one…
“I think he has to adapt to it. He’s an English kid, a young kid for their national team. Oh, I’m sorry! The Welsh national team.” Jose Mourinho is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.
They’d love a player of Rashford’s calibre on their books, and every little challenge he was involved in brought boos galore. It really was pretty petty, and fair play to the gaffer for coming out and backing his player.
I genuinely wouldn’t swap Rashford for any other teenager in the game of football. he’s one of our own, and it didn’t seem like the boos affected him all that much which bodes well going forward.
