Jose Mourinho delays move for fourth summer signing, deals won’t be made until January: report
According to ESPN’s sources, Jose Mourinho has delayed any potential move to bring in a fourth summer signing, and he’s prepared to wait until January. Apparently, the self-proclaimed Special One turned down the opportunity to sell some fringe players, which would have freed up funds for a new arrival.
So far, the Red Devils have sealed moves for Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic, but there was always talk that Mourinho wanted to bring in four players this summer. It looks like that may no longer be the case.
At the end of the day, sometimes, it just isn’t possible to get every single deal that you want to complete all done and dusted. Personally, I don’t think it is due to a lack of trying, there are some occasions where the right player just isn’t available.
You have to be pleased with the business that has been completed thus far, and already, we’ve seen what a brilliant impact Lukaku and Matic have had on this squad.
There is still time left in the window, and a lot can change in football. Who knows, we may still end up pushing a deal or two over the line, but as of right now, it looks as though we’re all set with the squad we have for the next few months.
