Liverpool fans in transfer meltdown after Klopp image goes viral – 'Pretty much confirmed'

Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw with Sporting Lisbon in their final game in the USA with Fernandes running the show.

The Portuguese midfielder, who has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, netted after just four minutes with a strike from distance.

And while his performance certainly had Manchester United fans raving about the 24-year-old, it was a picture of Fernandes and Klopp that sent Reds supporters crazy.

A picture posted on Reddit shows Klopp with his arm around Fernandes and fans have been left convinced the German boss is trying to work his magic on luring him to Anfield.

Another gave their thoughts, saying: “If you turn your head slightly it looks like he’s leaning against Klopp. Pretty much confirmed”

“Kloppo please! Don’t make me beg!” pleaded another.

Despite Liverpool being linked with the Portugal international this summer, United remain the frontrunners for his signature.

Sporting are playing hardball over a fee though and have made it clear he will not leave for anything less than £56m.

Sporting manager Marcel Keizer hinted that his main man could be heading for the exit door after the draw with Liverpool though.

“Everybody would like him to stay,” he said.

“The situation is that he is here, but we don’t know what the future will bring.

“We know he plays very well, we know that clubs like him, so we have to see what happens.

“The job of the coach is to realise that some players will go before the end of the window. Every player can go, and we can also buy players.”
