Manchester United’s struggling attacker Alexis Sanchez missed training on Thursday, as he looks to sort out a visa issue ahead of Chile’s international friendly games next month.
The story comes from the Manchester Evening News, who add that the 30-year-old could yet leave United before the European transfer window deadline on September 2nd.
Apparently, senior sources at United told the MEN that he was given permission to miss training to sort out an American visa ahead of his country’s game against Argentina in the United States.
Again, this is just typical of Sanchez’s time at United. The #7 is happy collecting his wages without really earning it on the field. We’re yet to see him play any sort of action for the Reds this season or in pre-season either, but he’s still going above and beyond to sort things out for his country.
I just find it annoying that for him, getting fit and ready to play for United seems to be an afterthought yet we’re the ones paying his humongous wages.
At this point, I just want him away from that dressing room. United will probably have to move him away on loan while paying a hefty chunk of his salary, but that’s the hand United have been dealt. The player seemingly doesn’t care too much about being here so why should we give him the opportunity when he eventually is ready to play?
