It feels like Manchester United Football Club are heading in the right direction once again. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made some astute signings over the summer, with the club also clearing out some dead-wood.
The good results over the last week have seen a positive atmospheric switch at Old Trafford, reinforcing the belief that the Baby Faced Assassin is the right man for the job.
With that said, there’s much work ahead. Solskjaer needs to press on and further strengthen the playing squad. One rumour that isn’t going to go away until the player moves on from Borussia Dortmund is Jadon Sancho to United stories.
Last night, The Mirror gave us another update on Sancho’s future. Apparently, they state that United still believe they’re in pole position to sign the talented 19-year-old despite interest from elsewhere.
Liverpool and Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the Englishman, who it seems like will be staying put in Germany until at least the summer, with Dortmund not willing to sell in January.
It’s very reassuring that United still feel they can compete with Europe’s elite teams in the transfer market, despite the fact that we’re currently playing Europa League football.
Obviously, Sancho is a top talent with the footballing world at his feet. He’d bring so much quality to a right-hand side that has often been a real problem position for United over recent years – though the fact that he’s at war with Dortmund does trouble me somewhat. The last thing the Reds need is a player with a questionable attitude…
