Manchester United Football Club ensured safe passage through to the FA Cup fifth round, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s winning run continuing.
The game itself was an entertaining, end-to-end affair in which the Red Devils were good for the victory – largely due to their counter-attacking brilliance.
Perhaps the Man of the Match on the day was Romelu Lukaku. Somewhat surprisingly, though, the Belgian turned provider rather than scorer. It was the 25-year-old’s swift turn of pace and ability to pick out the right pass on two occasions in the first-half.
His first, a delicate little ball which practically fooled all of Arsenal’s back line. The second, a pull-back to Jesse Lingard who duly slotted home. Credit has to go to Solskjaer for sticking him out on the right wing, because it’s a role that he excelled in for Belgium during the World Cup.
As you’d imagine, the fans were absolutely buzzing with Lukaku on social media. It was a real mature, calculated performance from a man who has struggled at times this season. Like many, he’s back to his best under Solskjaer’s tutelage and it’s fantastic to see. Check out the best reaction to Lukaku’s brilliant display against Arsenal below:
