Man United are seemingly keen on hiring Thomas Tuchel as their manager – at some point…
As we all know, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under heavy fire at times this season. That’s despite the fact we’re five points off the Premier League summit with a game in hand.
Indeed, there has been some concerning performances (and results) churned out by this inconsistent United side at times, though. Often, the fans lay the blame at Solskjaer’s door, labelling him a poor tactician.
Well, it seems as though the Old Trafford club are exploring some other options, in the event that the Red Devils are forced to move in a different direction other than the Norwegian.
It’s journalist Christian Falk with the scoop, who claims that United are ‘interested’ in the 47-year-old manager Thomas Tuchel. What’s intriguing to us is that Tuchel is also ‘interested’ in a move to the Theatre of Dreams.
My first impression is that this is an easy link to make. After all, we’ve just gone toe-to-toe with Tuchel’s PSG in the Champions League and it’s at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
However, I would state that Tuchel would offer United an upgrade tactically. After all, we’re talking about someone who did manage PSG into a Champions League final last term.
Check out Falk’s tweet here:
For now, I think we have to persist with Solskjaer. He’s earned that. We’re in a far better place now than we was when the Baby Faced Assassin took charge. I also feel like we’re still improving week-on-week.
In the situation that Solskjaer does exit, I’m not sure Tuchel would be atop my list.
Mauricio Pochettino is still available and in terms of perfect fits, he feels like a match made in heaven for this club. Either that or someone like Max Allegri. I’d much prefer another Premier League side to take the gamble on Tuchel, though I don’t doubt his managerial abilities…
