Manchester United have a real task on their hands. Now, it looks as though the club have finally realised just how big of an overhaul this squad needs.

In an exclusive from The Sun, it is now being claimed that the Red Devils have set up an emergency pay fund to offload their flops, including Alexis Sanchez and Marcos Rojo.

United chiefs are ‘scrambling together cash’ in order to pay off stars to get them off the wage books. Although it’ll be pricey in the short-term, it certainly makes sense if this club are planning to head in a positive direction going forward…

Sanchez is the most high profile player who simply has to leave at whatever cost. He has been nowhere near good enough and the club need to work out some way to get his £500k-a-week wages off the books.

Whether that’s with a subsidised wage packet with Sanchez moving elsewhere, or if United can somehow find a willing buyer, the number one goal is clear. The Chilean must be playing his football somewhere else next season – and he’s not the only one.

Sometimes you have to take one (or several) steps backwards before you move forward. It may take a while, but it will all be worth it in the end.
