Manchester United’s injury problems just won’t go away – and it’s starting to get rather frustrating right about now.
In a report from the Daily Mirror, it is being claimed that Marcus Rashford has now been ruled out of England’s EURO qualifying opener against the Czech Republic on Friday night.
This comes just a day after the same media outlet wrote that Rashford was a major doubt to play in the game and now they’ve taken it a step further by claiming that he will not feature.
Apparently, Rashford has been carrying a problem since the 0-0 home draw to Liverpool but is yet to fully recover. That would explain why he hasn’t been performing anywhere near his best recently, although it’s great to see himself putting his body through the pain barrier for the good of the team.
Honestly, though, if he’s not right, why’s he still with the England squad? Surely the best thing to do in this situation is to bring him back to United and allow him to get the treatment from the club that’s actually paying his wages?
Can you imagine if Rashford tries to play through the injury and makes the problem worse? With some huge games just on the horizon, that’d be the worst thing that could happen – and with the way things are going I wouldn’t be wholly shocked if that’s exactly what happens.
