Manchester United Football Club have enjoyed an up-turn in results over the last ten games, as the Red Devils continue their march up the Premier League table.
This midweek, though, attentions turn towards the Europa League, with a game against Austrian side LASK Linz in the offing tomorrow night. Unfortunately, the fixture will be played in an empty stadium due to the coronavirus epidemic which is currently wreaking havoc on the globe.
Ahead of the fixture, United are left sweating on the fitness of a key trio, who all missed training ahead of the LASK game, ManUtd.com have confirmed.
Although United were quick to add that their absence doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t in contention, it does leave cause for concern. Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot and Jesse Lingard all missed today’s session.
Long-term casualties Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Lee Grant were not involved either, despite the former seemingly closing in on a return.
It’s as simple as this. Whatever team United put out should have more than enough firepower to win this tie over two legs. Yes, I’d like to see some youngsters like Dalot in the XI tomorrow, but sometimes that’s not always possible.
We have to trust the manager because he has been spot on over the last month or so. Long may our good form continue despite these injury concerns…
