Man United would have to pay Solskjaer relatively small compensation package to sack him: report

With talk around Old Trafford rife about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s long-term future, it’s no surprise to hear the media get involved and work out the minor details.

Don’t forget that it was just under a year ago when Manchester United decided to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – paying him £19.6million to buy out his contract and relieve him of his duties.

Well now The Sun have unearthed the details about how much it’d cost the Reds to remove the Baby Faced Assassin from his position – and it’s probably less than you’d expect.

They state United would have to pay a relatively small compensation package of just £7million – almost two-thirds less than what it cost to sack the Self-Proclaimed Special One…

What does that mean for United going forward? Well, they’ll be less tolerable when it comes to binning off Solskjaer because it’d cost them far less to remove him from his position.

With Liverpool at home up next, expect the problems at Old Trafford to get worse before they get better. Don’t be surprised if we get an absolute hammering at the hands of our local rivals – and the league game after that, Norwich City away, doesn’t look all that appealing right now either. Honestly, at this point, I can only see this going one way…
