Man Utd boss Solskjaer pinpoints traits he wants in new signings – one factor irrelevant

United have brought in two new players so far this this summer.

Their first arrival was winger Daniel James from Swansea for £15m, who was closely followed by £50m right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Many think Solskjaer is targeting mainly British talent this summer as he looks to completely revamp his squad.

But the Norwegian has played down those suggestions, with United more recently linked with Portuguese playmaker Bruno Fernandes.

“It doesn’t matter if they are English, Norwegian, French, Brazilian,” Solskjaer told the club’s website.

“You just want good players and good people. Quality and speed, of course, is a big thing in football nowadays.

“The more x-factors you have in a team, the better you are.”

James and Wan-Bissaka are both known for their blistering pace.

And Solskjaer has revealed which of the new boys he thinks is the quickest.

“Maybe Aaron Wan-Bissaka! The two of them do have top, top speed,” he went on.

“Modern football is stop-start, it is go again, speed, tempo, quality.

“So those two have put their marker down. Of course, with our boys, we have got some quick ones.”
