United have had a multitude of problems both on and off the pitch in recent times.
The Red Devils finished sixth last season and it cost Jose Mourinho his job with a list of alleged issues behind closed doors.
Among the problems have been mainly revolved around two players in Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez.
With the former, there have been a number of instances where the Frenchman had fallen out with The Special One – including one encounter caught on cameras at United’s Carrington training ground.
And for the latter, the former Arsenal forward’s form has taken a dramatic decline since his well-documented move and injuries have also ravaged his United career.
Both are costing the club a pretty penny too in wages, with Pogba on £290,000-a-week while Sanchez earns around £450,000-a-week.
For club legend Paul Parker, he has seen enough from the disarrayed duo and wants them both sold as Solskjaer ushers in a new era.
He told Eurosport: “You have to let Pogba and Sanchez go. Pogba’s a definite one.
“He wants to go – that’s been stated, but the only thing he’s not done is go on strike.”
Pogba recently stated that he intended on taking up a new challenge – a claim his agent Mino Raiola reiterated earlier this month.
“You don’t know whether it’s struck him to do that. When people are watching him week-in-week-out they see what I see. You see him sulking,” Parker added.
“Sanchez was another massive mistake. It was a ridiculous signing and it was always going to go wrong.
“He wasn’t needed. But how do you get rid of somebody when they’re carrying so much money in their wage packet?
“You’d have to supplement them. You might have to give him over 50% of his wages. It’s madness.”
