Today is Jadon Sancho’s twentieth Birthday. Since moving to Borussia Dortmund, the Englishman’s stock has only risen.
The tricky right-winger has showcased his talents to the fullest, after seeing opportunities limited with Manchester City. It’s a move that has breathed life into what has the potential to become a legendary career. Credit to him for making that decision at such a young age.
However, Germany isn’t is home. It felt somewhat inevitable that Sancho would return to English shores eventually. Links to Manchester United have been constant. We’ve covered them religiously.
Over the last 24 hours, top Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has had his say – and it certainly spells good news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.
Apparently, United are ‘confident’ about signing the superstar 20-year-old, while the club are already working on his contract. Furthermore, United have been in contact with Sancho’s agent for two months.
‘The coronavirus pandemic is making it hard to communicate with Borussia Dortmund. United are confident.’
Credit where it’s due. Solskjaer has seemingly identified his main target and the club are doing what they can to get a head start on the competition and persuade Sancho to choose United.
There will be other offers piling in, make no mistake about that. However, the Red Devils are showing a desire, a need, a hunger to sign this player. Sancho will appreciate that.
Sure, he’ll also be paid pretty handsomely to make the move to Salford Quays, but what a signing this would be. Imagine Sancho in a front three alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, with Bruno Fernandes sitting in-behind and supplying the through balls. Phwoar.
