Man Utd edge closer to Paul Pogba exit after replacement's agent met, agreement close

United are dealing with a multitude of problems in the transfer market this summer.

A number of fans are annoyed with the hierarchy after a perceived lack of progress, with just two youngsters signed so far.

Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are the only arrivals while there are plans afoot to sign Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff.

But several players want to leave Old Trafford, one being their prized asset in Pogba.

The Frenchman said he was looking to leave and take up a new challenge this summer.

And that claim was reiterated by his agent Mino Raiola two days before United jetted off for their pre-season tour in Australia.

According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, United are already pressing ahead with plans to replace the World Cup winner.

It has been revealed that the Red Devils have met with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s agent and an agreement should be made over personal terms as well.

Palmeri tweeted: “Manchester United are indeed preparing the way out for Pogba.

“Meeting with Milinkovic-Savic agent, agreement on personal terms should be on 6m€ net per year.

“Up to Real Madrid offer now…”

Zinedine Zidane is desperate to sign Pogba to his Real Madrid side but after a huge summer splurge they are struggling to stump up the £150m asking price.

Milinkovic-Savic has long been a target of United’s and was on their radar when Jose Mourinho was in charge.

The Special One had his own problems with Pogba during his tenure and was eyeing the Serbian midfielder to replace him.
