The Red Devils are preparing to face Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Solskjaer will look for his side to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to rivals Arsenal.
This was only United’s second defeat with the club legend in the hot seat.
But footage has emerged from his press conference which suggests the 46-year-old had a more optimistic look on the loss.
In the clip, the manager is asked what he learnt from the Arsenal defeat.
And Solskjaer replies: “You’re always measured on results.
“But we played a good game against Arsenal.
“We’ve played so much worse and won games and that’s the strange thing in football.”
Solakjser’s antics come as:
The 46-year-old continues: “When you’re a manager, you can look behind a result and say it was a good performance.”
But the manager goes on to give an expletive assessment of the loss.
“I was vey disappointed with the Arsenal results,” Solskjaer continues.
“It hurts more than anything.
“But it’s not like you can look at the performance and say we were s*** because we weren’t.’
And the manager’s swearing sends the journalists into fits of laughter.
Solskjaer, though, apologises before continuing his analysis with a little chuckle.
“To be honest and blunt, we weren’t,” he added.
“We played well.”
The only one not laughing, though, is United’s press officer Karen Shotbolt.
But Solskjaer has a hilarious response.
“Don’t worry about that, Karen,” the 46-year-old says with a smile.
And this brings out a huge burst of laughter from the journalists again.
They were not the only ones laughing, though, as the United faithful were in stitches at their manager’s expletive moment.
“Been a while since I hear a Man United manager swear,” one supporter said.
“Give him the job for that swear alone”

Another commented: “How can you not love this man.”
While a third believed the club legend’s honesty should be rewarded.
“Give him the job for that swear alone,” they said.
And a fourth added: “What a legend.”
But the Red Devils are facing a cruel injury blow for their FA Cup clash.
