The Red Devils are preparing to face Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Solskjaer will hope they can bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Arsenal.
This was United’s first defeat in six games, ending their Premier League unbeaten run under the Norwegian.
One player fans have been impressed with is McTominay, who was left on the bench in the defeat.
The Scot has stepped into the midfield in place of injured Nemanja Matic.
And footage has emerged of the Scot expressing his calm off the pitch.
In the clip, the 22-year-old is taking on a metal wire challenge.
The aim is to move a circular piece along a wire without it touching the edges.
The United man’s skill comes as:
McTominay starts off slowly, moving the grip in a zig-zag motion.
The Scot has concentration in his eyes as he focuses on keeping the metal parts away.
As the youngster suddenly picks up the pace, he has reached the end within a few seconds.
And the United man celebrates by rocking back in his chair and holding his arms up with a huge smile.
“This level of concentration is world class”
Man Utd fan
Since being posted on the club’s official Instagram channel earlier today, this footage has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
And fans believe he should be straight back in the squad for his control.
“Scott is special,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “This level of concentration is world class.”
While a third believed a huge honour should be bestowed on him.
“Give him the captain’s armband,” they said.
And another commented: “He should be a neurosurgeon.”
But reports have emerged McTominay may not be joined at United by a Barcelona star.
