Manchester United Football Club’s season has been massively hit by injury, though credit where it’s due, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done a great job.
The Baby Faced Assassin hasn’t moaned nor kicked up a fuss. Instead, he’s worked with the players who have been available and right now, we’re definitely in the running to secure a place in the Champions League for next season.
Suddenly, the squad is looking far healthier than it was a month or so ago, with the only long-term absentees being Paul Pogba (who we’ve barely seen this season) and Marcus Rashford.
United got another welcome injury boost today, as the defensive duo of Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah made their returns from injury for the U23s this evening, the official website confirmed.
Both were named in the starting XI to take on Stoke City in the Premier League 2 clash at the Bet365 Stadium this evening – and no doubt the pair couldn’t wait to get started.
Fosu-Mensah has been missing with injury since April, while Tuanzebe, who started the season brightly with United’s first-team, was sidelined since late-September.
Hopefully, both can get some minutes under their belt and come through unscathed. Who knows, the pair may well make their impact within the first-team before the season’s end…
Welcome back, lads!
