Lukaku is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer after a disappointing year.
The Belgian scored 15 goals in all competitions, as he spent most of the season as United’s first-choice striker.
However, many felt his performances were well below par, as he was constantly outplayed by the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
And having been brought in for a hefty £75m in July 2017, United are now thought to be looking to recoup a significant amount of what they paid for him as they look to assemble a new-look team.
“Inter have an agreement with him for a contract until 2024”
Lukaku has been linked with a move to the Serie A, with Inter Milan understood to be his most likely destination.
And transfer expert Nicolo Schira claims that following Conte’s demands, the San Siro club have an agreement in place for the Belgium international until 2024.
The two clubs are yet to agree on a fee though, with United holding firm with their demands.
“Romelu Lukaku is Antonio Conte’s absolute first choice like a striker,” Schira tweeted.
“Inter have an agreement with him for a contract until 2024 (€7,5M (£6.6m) more bonuses at year).
“Contacts ongoing with Manchester United, that want €70M (£62m) at least to sell Lukaku.”
Lukaku recently spoke out over his future, alluding that he is likely to move away from Manchester this summer.
“I’ll speak with my club and my agent Federico Pastorello to make the best decision,” the former Chelsea and Everton man said.
“I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now. I know what I’ll do, but won’t say it. We’ll see. Do I expect a busy summer? Yes.
The striker added: “I’ve had a difficult season at club level. I lost my place and haven’t played much.
“But that is a phase in my career and it will help me for the next step.”
