The constant debate amongst Manchester United fans has been ‘Jack Grealish or James Maddison?’
As you’d expect, the supporters were split practically right down the middle. After all, it was always going to be tough to separate two top-quality individuals.
Well, it seems as though United are now swaying in one direction; Grealish’s.
The story comes from the Manchester Evening News, who claim that United have made their transfer decision in regards to the pair. Apparently, the Reds are ‘set to prioritise’ a move for the 24-year-old Grealish as he’d be cheaper.
Furthermore, Maddison ‘expects’ to stay at Leicester for at least another season, that’s despite the fact the MEN claim the boyhood Reds fan would’ve been at United ‘years ago’ if it were up to him.
With everything that’s going on in the world right now, money may be spent at a slower pace. Grealish’s Villa are currently in the relegation zone and if their fate is sealed upon resumption of the season, he’d be far cheaper than Maddison.
Both are similar age, are similar in style and stats-wise can’t be separated. If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can’t split them, it makes sense to go for the cheaper option and spend the difference elsewhere…
