Pogba is keen on a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with Real Madrid eyeing up a swoop for the midfielder.
Zinedine Zidane is a huge fan of his countryman, but the Real boss may struggle to afford both the French World Cup winner and Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
Pogba wants out after Manchester United’s dreadful showing last season where they finished without a trophy and down in sixth-place in the Premier League.
The club haven’t got close to winning the Premier League or Champions League since Pogba’s return to Manchester from Juventus for £89m in 2016.
That’s led Pogba to push for an exit as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gets ready to splash the cash and revamp the squad.
But a key arrival behind the scenes at United could yet help change Pogba’s mind about quitting the club.
The Sun report Warren Joyce is set to be re-appointed by the club as a youth coach.
“Paul Pogba played for Warren Joyce at Man Utd – and his return could appeal to the wantaway star”
Joyce tutored Pogba when he was in the club’s academy, and his return to United may appeal to their prized asset.
The 54-year-old is wanted as Ricky Sbragia’s replacement as Under-23 manager following his departure.
Joyce left United in 2016 to take charge of Championship side Wigan but wasn’t a hit at the DW Stadium.
He’s since had a spell in charge of Melbourne City in Australia, but is now ready to return to his former club.
Manchester United confirmed an agreement had been reached with Swansea for Dan James last week – and the deal expected to go through today when the international transfer window opens.
“Manchester United is delighted to announce that it has agreed, in principle, terms with both Swansea City and Daniel James for his transfer to the club,” they wrote in a statement.
“Daniel has successfully completed a medical at the Aon Training Complex.
“Further details will be communicated once the international transfer window opens next week.”
