Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is planning a summer spending spree as he looks to turn United back into Premier League title contenders.
A number of stars have been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, including Jadon Sancho, Declan Rice and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Reports this week have suggested United are eyeing a move for Spurs star Christian Eriksen, while Toby Alderweireld has regularly been linked as the club seek defensive reinforcements.
But they’re not the only two stars in north London that have caught the eye.
According to Football Insider, United are keen on England international Dier.
Jose Mourinho tried to sign the utility man two years ago and the report suggests Mauricio Pochettino is open to a sale in order to fund incomings.
And with United set to lose key faces in their midfield, Dier would likely be handed a key role under Solskjaer.
The transfer revelation comes amid news that:
“His players have stopped playing for him.”

Ander Herrera is out of contract this summer and the Spaniard is expected to join PSG.
And he’ll likely be followed out of the door by fellow free agent Juan Mata.
United also lost Marouane Fellaini in January and Solskjaer is keen to bring in competition for Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay.
The Red Devils suffered their third defeat in as many games against Manchester City on Wednesday and Liverpool hero Steve Nicol is concerned the players have already lost faith in Solskjaer.
“His players have stopped playing for him,” he told ESPN FC.
“Because every single good team I’ve played in, the manager, he’s the guy that held you to a standard. He was the very first guy.
“And already Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lost that.
“They’ve just given him the job as manager, but yet he’s not able to hold the players to whatever standard they have.”
