Man Utd set stunning asking price for Paul Pogba – Real Madrid told to pay £130m

The Frenchman has silenced his critics during the second half of the season, shining in midfield since Jose Mourinho’s sacking in December.

Pogba famously clashed with his former boss but is thriving under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has scored 11 goals in all competitions under the Norwegian.

Despite his turnaround, the 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Earlier this season, Pogba hinted that he could be tempted by a move to the Bernabeu following Zinedine Zidane’s return as manager.

He said: “Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“There is also Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football.

“For now, I’m at Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.”

The transfer revelation comes amid news that:

Zidane will be handed a hefty transfer budget as he plots a squad makeover in order to bounce back from a disappointing campaign.

Pogba is believed to be high on his summer wishlist and according to Marca, United chiefs have made it clear they won’t accept offers lower than £130m.

Old Trafford chiefs have relayed this message to Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, who will be pivotal in any deal.

The report claims Real still harbour an interest in the World Cup winner.

But they’re exploring other options in case they see the fee as too much, or in the event that United refuse to do business.

Pogba scored two penalties on Saturday to earn United a 2-1 win over West Ham.

And he’ll have the opportunity to impress his La Liga admirers tomorrow evening as Solskjaer’s side look to overturn Barcelona’s 1-0 advantage in the Champions League.

The second leg of the quarter-final kicks off at 8pm.
