Manchester United Football Club made an inspired signing when they added Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the playing squad over the summer, that much is obvious.
However, that does come at a cost. Somewhere down the line, it’ll hamper the minutes of another player, in this case, it’s Diogo Dalot.
The Portuguese joined United at a time where Jose Mourinho’s side were expected to kick on. Dalot was supposed to be a player who’d help shepherd in the new era. Although he’s immensely gifted, we haven’t really seen those talents on a consistent basis.
Now, after just eighteen months, The Sun write that the United starlet is fighting for his future at the club, while the Reds would consider his sale – but only for a sizeable offer.
Solskjaer is continuing the squad overhaul and will be looking to raise funds while freeing up some wage space due to the global pandemic that’s happening right now. It seems as though Dalot’s head could be amongst those on the chopping block…
What’s interesting is that Mourinho is mentioned again. Apparently, he’s still a ‘fan’ of Dalot’s talent and could consider bringing him to North London…
Honestly, I’m not sure where to go with this one. Wan-Bissaka is the superior player, that much is obvious. However, that doesn’t make Dalot a bad one. I don’t suspect a player of the Portuguese’s calibre is going to want to sit around on the bench for too long, though.
