Manchester United Football Club continued their topsy-turvy form this weekend, with the Red Devils falling short against an impressive Arsenal side. Before the game Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dealt us some bad news as Paul Pogba is injured again.
The Mercurial Frenchman made his return from the treatment table as a substitute in back-to-back games. However, he’d miss Burnley away on Boxing Day which raised concerns. Today, the Baby Faced Assassin confirmed the worst.
United have suffered a fresh injury blow with the world-class 26-year-old out for a few weeks with yet another ankle problem. The question is this; is there more to it than an injury? Particularly with the January transfer window now open? Who knows…
“He’s injured. He’s feeling some discomfort in his ankle. He’ll be out for a few weeks,” said Solskjaer live on BT Sport, per Eurosport.
I’m seriously starting to worry. We all know that Pogba doesn’t want to be here, and I guess that if he were happy in Manchester, perhaps the mercurial Frenchman would push himself through the pain barrier.
What irks me the most is that Pogba is happy jet-setting all over the world while bragging about it on Instagram rather than trying to get himself back fit (if he’s actually injured). It upsets me, and perhaps right now it’s best if he was to leave Old Trafford as he’s becoming a huge distraction.
One thing is for certain, January is going to be a testing month. No Scott McTominay, now no Pogba. We’re left with just Nemanja Matic, Fred and Andreas Pereira. Yikes…
