Man Utd team news: Expected line-up for PSG clash, Solskjaer to field typical 4-3-3?

United picked up their 10th win under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Saturday.

A brace from Paul Pogba and a superb Anthony Martial strike handed them a comfortable 3-0 victory away at Fulham, which has seen them leapfrog Chelsea into fourth place in the Premier League.

It has been a remarkable turnaround for the club under Solskjaer, who remains unbeaten in the Old Trafford hot-seat since replacing Jose Mourinho in mid-December.

And next up for the Norwegian is a crucial showdown with PSG at Old Trafford this evening.

“In midfield; Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba should get the nod”

Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian have both been ruled out through injury, while Marcos Rojo and Victor Lindelof are doubts to feature.

As per usual, David De Gea will start in between the sticks for United and will be hoping to keep his third successive clean sheet in all competitions.

Solskjaer is likely to gamble on the fitness of Lindelof, who has been excellent under his management, who will sit alongside Ashley Young, Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw in defence.

In midfield; Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic and Pogba should get the nod.

The £90m midfielder has rediscovered his best form under Solskjaer, netting eight goals since the latter took over on December 19.

His form had began to seriously deteriorate under predecessor Mourinho, 56, who failed to see eye-to-eye with the Frenchman during his time at the club.

Upfront, Jesse Lingard and Martial should flank Marcus Rashford – another man whose performances have soared since Solskjaer joined the club.

Rashford, who has been preferred to Romelu Lukaku as centre-forward, has bagged five goals in his last six appearances for United.

Solskjaer will fancy his chances against PSG, who will be without a number of key players.

As well as star man Neymar, the French champions have Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier out injured.

And they were beaten in their previous away outing, succumbing to a 2-1 defeat away at Lyon in Ligue 1.

Tonight’s clash gets underway at 8pm.
