And his hopes for FA Cup glory have received a welcome boost with several key players back in training.
Having nursed injuries this week, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingered could all be back in contention.
One man United will be without though is Ashley Young, who is suspended after picking up two yellow cards already in the competition.
“We’ve got a decision to make tomorrow on who’s match fit”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Solskjaer has several options in midfield, and must decide whether to go with experience or youth.
The likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic are fit for selection.
However, today’s tie could be one of the final chances of the season to hand Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira a rare start.
Speaking about his side’s recoveries this week, Solskjaer appeared extremely positive.
He said: “Yeah he’s (Lukaku) had a sore foot this week he’s being assessed, so hopefully he’ll get through today.
“Phil Jones is back, there have been so many players out, Anthony (Martial) is back, Ander (Herrera) has been training, Jesse (Lingard) has been training.
“We’ve got a decision to make tomorrow on who’s match fit.”
Kick off at Molineux is at 7:55pm.
