Man Utd tell Inter Milan what they must do to sign Romelu Lukaku after rejected offer

United are undergoing a squad revamp with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm.

The Norwegian has told Old Trafford officials to sign young, hungry talents that are desperate to play for the club.

Solskjaer is not interested in players who do not want to give their all for the Red Devils.

And after telling Lukaku that he will be playing second fiddle to Marcus Rashford, the Belgian has been looking for a way out.

Inter Milan have emerged as the strongest contenders and want to make Lukaku the centrepiece to Antonio Conte’s side.

But as of yet the two clubs have failed to agree on a fee, with United rejecting the latest bid of £54m.

According to the Guardian, United will agree to sell Lukaku to the Italian side if they significantly improve their offer.

The Red Devils have slapped a £80m price-tag on the former Everton forward and Inter are someway off that figure.

But Conte is pushing for the move hard and again revealed his desire to bring the 26-year-old to the San Siro.

“I think that I have answered yesterday about Lukaku,” the ex-Chelsea coach said.

“I think that it’s not right to speak about the player that, in this moment, is a United player.

“For this reason, I think we must show great respect for the club and at the same time also for the player and also for my players.

“As I said yesterday, Lukaku is a player I like.

“I like him because I consider him a player that could improve our team.

“In one side there is my hope, my will. In the other side, we’ll see what we find with the club.”

United recorded a 1-0 win over Inter in a friendly this afternoon.
