Man Utd Transfer News: Balague makes Griezmann claim, Perisic update, Pereira latest

Antoine Griezmann will consider joining Manchester United again next summer, according to Guillem Balague.

He told Sky Sports: “He is with a team which has played in Champions League finals and also won the league recently – more recently than Manchester United – so he is already at one of the top teams in Europe.

“He is playing with the fans and he will continue to do that with teasing messages but it is quite clear he will consider a move to Old Trafford next summer.

“This summer it’s impossible but next summer, who knows?

“Quite clearly, he was determined to go to Manchester United and it’s just the fact he didn’t want to let Atletico Madrid down while they couldn’t sign anyone that made him decide to stay.

“He had made his mind up to go to Old Trafford though, so we will see what happens as 12 months is a long time.”

United are not going to complete a deal for Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic before deadline day.

That’s according to Italian football expert David Amoyal in the wake of Jose Mourinho’s summer-long pursuit of the Croatia international.

Starsport understands United and Inter have been in talks over Perisic since the end of last season.

On Twitter, a fan asked him the question: “Do you see Man United making any more signing this window? [sic]”

And Amoyal replied: “Don’t know but won’t be Perisic.”

Man Utd Transfer News: Will Antoine Griezmann make the switch to Old Trafford

Andreas Pereira is keen to stay at United, despite interest from Valencia this summer.

ESPN FC claim the 21-year-old will seek assurances from Mourinho over his role in the squad this season though.

Pereira featured heavily for the Red Devils in pre-season but has yet to make a Premier League appearance.

In fact the midfielder did not even travel with the squad for their 4-0 win over Swansea last weekend.
