Professional Football in England won’t resume until April 30th, at the earliest. The coronavirus pandemic is slowly spreading. The Manchester United family had been completely untouched, until today…
Ex-Red Devil Marouane Fellaini has today confirmed that he has been tested for covid-19, and he indeed has the virus.
In what is undoubtedly a difficult time, Fellaini seems upbeat about the whole situation, feeling positive that he’ll return as soon as possible. He sent a heartfelt message to the fans, medical staff and club for their support during this incident.
The 32-year-old is currently plying his trade in China for Shandong Luneng Taishan, though he’ll now be self-isolating for the next fortnight at the very least.
It’s just a strange situation for not just the footballing world, but the whole planet. Mass gatherings won’t be happening for the foreseeable future, while I’d imagine they’ll be far more confirmed cases amongst professional sportsmen and women before the idea of returning to action even takes place.
Right now, it’s about following government advice, staying safe, self-isolating and most importantly, keeping your mind in a positive place.
Get well soon, Felly! Once a red always a red!
