Manchester United Football Club have been nothing short of diabolical over the last month of football.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men plainly haven’t been good enough – both on the training field and on the football pitch. The 1-0 loss to Newcastle this weekend just sums everything up. We were beaten, and beaten well, by a team who are having their own problems.
One positive has been the new signings. All three have done well, which does point to success if Solskjaer gets time – though giving him that long, amid poor results, is easier said than done.
One of those new signings is £80million man Harry Maguire. The centre-back took to Twitter today, to send a defiant message to the fans. He knows it hasn’t been good enough, though he also knows how to put things right.
Football is a team game. These players, us fans and that coaching staff are all in it together. If we stick by one another we’ll turn it around, though right now it does feel like it’s miles off.
For what it’s worth I actually think our defence has been solid recently, fronted by Maguire and our other new signing, Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Solskjaer needs to continue building from the back, and slowly but surely we’ll find our way back to the top.
Come on lads!
