The Brazilian found the back of the net in the second half with a lovely curled effort beyond David de Gea.
The Barcelona man has not enjoyed the best of times of late and has been slammed by fans of the Catalan club.
And Coutinho hit back this evening, sticking his fingers in his ears in front of home supporters after celebrating with his team-mates.
The celebration has been seen in England recently by Newcastle star Ayoze Perez, who also closes his ears whenever he nets for the Magpies.
Coutinho was brought off soon after his goal to be replaced by Ousmane Dembele, receiving a warm applause in the process.
The attacker has been heavily linked with a move to United in recent weeks.
However, it seems Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to look elsewhere as Coutinho won’t move to Old Trafford out of respect for former club Liverpool.
According to Sport, the 26-year-old also feels he’ll never be accepted at United after their fans constantly booed him throughout the first leg last week.
The report claims Chelsea are are keen to bring Coutinho in as a replacement for Eden Hazard, who is expected to join Real Madrid.
Speaking to Spanish television station TVE, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu said: “Coutinho is an excellent player and he has the coach’s confidence.
“He has a contract with us and he will remain at the team.
“Unless they (another club) meet his release clause.”
Despite Ed Woodward planning to bankroll a summer spree, it is highly unlikely that United will be able to meet Coutinho’s astronomical release clause, which is reportedly £355m.
Barcelona will face Liverpool or Porto in the semi-final of the Champions League.
