A Brandon Williams head injury compounded matters for Manchester United during their 2-2 draw last night. Today, though, the young left-back was back at Red Devils training which is a good sign, surely?
With a short turnaround between the Southampton and Crystal Palace games, the 20-time Premier League champions would have been fearing the worst about the availability of Williams.
Understandably, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remained tight-lipped on the situation last night. However, now, we’re feeling far more positive about the situation…
Head injuries can be extremely serious, though seeing Williams drive himself into training this morning definitely eased my personal fears. Yes, he’s got some stitches covering up what looks like a pretty nasty cut above his eye, but you’d hope he’d be able to play through that.

What it comes down to is whether Williams suffered a concussion. If he has even a minor one, I wouldn’t risk him for the next couple of weeks. Head injuries of any kind should not be taken lightly and it could be best if he sits it out for a while.
The Harpurhey-born full-back is a tough cookie, though, and I don’t doubt that he’s doing everything he can to make himself available for the game at Selhurst Park.
Sometimes, though, it’s best to take the decision out of his hands because this is a young boy who just wants to play football.
Hopefully, he’s doing okay this morning. We still have 48hours before our game against Palace, but I’d suspect a decision on this one won’t be made until the last possible opportunity.
Get well soon, Brandon!
