Manchester United are on a roll. The Red Devils are now sat in the Premier League’s top four, which is rather remarkable given just how far off the pace they were when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer taken charge.
Later today, the Baby Faced Assassin will face a huge test against Paris Saint-Germain, and it’s a game they go into with huge confidence – after beating Fulham 3-0 away from home.
Once again, United players dominate Garth Crooks’ BBC Team of the Week, with no fewer than three reds selected this time. Chris Smalling, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were all included.
He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you have to give Smalling immense credit. That was his first game in two months and he dealt with everything that was thrown at him.
As for Pogba, I’m running out of superlatives. The superstar Frenchman is playing the best football of his career at this moment in time. If only Jose Mourinho would have given him more freedom, eh? His two goals at the weekend were brilliantly taken.
Then you have Martial. We’ve scored some super individual goals away at Fulham down the years. From Ruud van Nistelrooy’s outrageously good run, to Cristiano Ronaldo doing likewise. Martial’s is right up there as he carried the ball from his ow half before coolly slotting home.
