Manchester United Football Club and their players have definitely had a 24 hours to forget…
The Red Devils were beaten by Liverpool, Marcus Rashford suffered serious injury and this morning, Sergio Romero was involved in a nasty-looking car crash.
The Mirror ran the story and got a snap of Romero’s Lamborghini looking in a right mess on the motorway just close to Man United’s training ground.
Thankfully, the club have confirmed that Romero has suffered no injuries following the incident and the BBC’s Simon Stone stated that the Argentine actually took part in training this morning.
Looking at the photo this could have been a whole lot worse. Romero is an extremely lucky man to come away from this without any injuries whatsoever.
I just hope he’s not too shaken up. Accidents like this can affect you mentally just as much as physically. Romero seems like a tough guy who’ll keep composed and put this incident behind them as quickly as possible.
Hopefully, Romero is available for selection immediately. After all, he’s the best back-up goalkeeper in the Premier League and we’re going to need him as United are still fighting it out in four competitions.
Get well soon, Sergio!
