Last night, we saw photos of Alex Telles signing his Manchester United contract, sporting the new club tracksuit. Today, the official Twitter account have given us more Alex Telles content, this time, he’s wearing the 2020/21 Man United shirt. All three of them to be precise…

Telles, signed from FC Porto, is a welcome addition to this Manchester United squad. We need quality-in-depth and I don’t doubt he’ll push Luke Shaw hard for that starting job. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays against Newcastle United – our first game back after the international break.

My early impression of Telles is that he’s delighted to be here. United have been linked with the Brazilian in past transfer windows but today, they’ve finally got their man.

That eagerness and keenness to get going is certainly portrayed in the below photos, with the official United Twitter account posting snaps of Telles wearing all three United kits for the 2020/21 term. He looks good in our colours, eh?

Now, Telles has a fortnight to settle into his new surroundings, before getting ready to play week-in-week-out at the highest level of professional football.

I’ve no doubt that Bruno Fernandes, who is also from the Portuguese league, will be helping Telles settle in. The pair are actually pretty similar in terms of personalities. They both have that win-at-all-costs mindset, which this United squad definitely needs more of.

Our luck with South Americans has been pretty bad in the past. However, I’m hoping that Telles is going to change that mould. Although United left it late, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got his man and the Baby Faced Assassin has been pretty good where transfers are concerned.

Hopefully, Telles can help us provide that cutting edge from the full-back position, which is something we’ve dearly lacked.
